KAYOMO LAB is a London-based experimental fashion label aimed to redefine how traditional pieces are worn in today’s modern world.

Launched in 2016 by Zyad Khoury and co-founder Alexandre Khawam, KAYOMO LAB experiments at all stages of the creation and production process finding better ways to wear old favorites by improving both their quality and functionality. Each garment is created with a bespoke approach in mind and crafted alongside the best Italian manufacturers and retired master tailors who have fostered a pragmatic approach to artisanal garments.

Drawing a distinct union between creative and practical every day garments, KAYOMO LAB caters to a cross-cultural blend of independent-minded individuals from both sexes and all ages who openly embrace tradition but are never satisfied with the status quo.

PROJECT 001

PROJECT 001 is KAYOMO LAB’s first collection, long-sleeved, sleeveless, short and long jackets inspired by the traditional Japanese Kimono.

The collection experiments with avant-garde elements and tweaked proportions to modernize the design and functionality of the kimono, making it more versatile and functional than ever before. For both the woman and the man of all ages, the jacket has a fresh take on the everyday professional ensemble that can be worn seamlessly from an active professional day to a social evening.

Maintaining an ethos of making something classic new again, KAYOMO LAB exclusively sources vintage fabrics from esteemed fashion houses such as Valentino and Missoni to reinvent old favourites in a new silhouette.  Finally, Italian tailors finish each piece by hand to ensure the best quality.
